Advanced Electrical Design Engineering

Program Overview

This intensive 5-week weekend program delivers 10 structured modules covering both the theoretical foundations of advanced industrial electrical design engineering and practical application using ETAP software. Participants will progress from core engineering concepts through advanced power system studies, gaining competency in design, analysis, and protection coordination as applied in real-world EPC projects.

Program Objectives

  • Understand the full lifecycle of electrical engineering design in oil & gas, power, and industrial projects
  • Develop proficiency in ETAP for Load Flow, Short Circuit, Motor Starting, Relay Coordination, Arc Flash, and Harmonic Analysis
  • Prepare and review key deliverables: SLDs, cable schedules, load lists, specifications, and data sheets
  • Apply international standards (IEC, IEEE) to real-world design and calculation scenarios
  • Build confidence to independently execute ETAP power system studies in a professional environment
